Rules and Guidelines

  1. Rank Range: The tournament is meant for players rank #999,999 through #100,000. Anyone is allowed to participate, but anyone outside of this range should expect to be bullied in chat.
  2. Account Integrity: Your account must have a good standing for the last 12 months. Exceptions can be made by staff. You can also contact us if you think an exception could be made for you. If you register and we determine that your account is not in good enough standing, we will let you know through your preferred contact method.
  3. Format: The tournament is double-elimination. Qualifiers will be best of 3, finals will be best of 7, and every other round will be best of 5. If the two players are tied at match point, the tiebreaker map in the corresponding round's mappool will be played.
  4. Timing: A player has 10 minutes to arrive at a match, and 15 minutes of buffer time if anything goes wrong. A match can be rescheduled if both parties agree on a time and date that will work for both participants and the hosts/refs. Warmup maps can be played unless both parties agree to skip them. They must be under 4 minutes long and cannot be from the tournament's mappools. (please don't pick a 200 BPM stream map as a warmup map for the sake of both players... but it would be pretty funny)
  5. Respect No Matter What: This is a rule that I live by every day, and it applies to this tournament as well. Know that there are boundaries between being jokingly rude and actually rude, and note that this line is at different places for different people. As a rule of thumb, don't joke with people you don't know if you aren't 100% sure that they will take the joke well. While banter (and insults that are in good taste) are encouraged, I will not tolerate any disrespect towards other players or staff. Also, any refs that are present are lovely individuals who are volunteering their free time for $0.00 an hour. Please treat them like humans.
  6. Network Issues: Not all of us have 10Gbps fiber internet that has a 5-nines uptime. Disconnects are pretty much expected. However, any network issues are expected to be cleaned up during warmups. Any disconnects during the first 30 seconds of a map will result in the map being restarted an unlimited number of times. Any disconnects after 30 seconds will result in a score of whatever the player had before they disconnected, unless they can provide proof of their score (a screenshot will be accepted in most cases, but in high-stakes scenarios or with really good scores, a replay file may also be requested).
